After 11 days in the saddle covering 1119kms (with some mighty sore bits to prove it)the Tour De Force team led by Met’s very own Neil Harvey and Simon Chappell, rode triumphantly into the tiny, unsuspecting French village of Bussiere-Badil last week.
Well, not quite unsuspecting, as the Mayor promptly turned out to award medals to the intrepid cyclists who between them have managed to raise a staggering £8,939.65 for the Brain Tumour Research and Support Charity, in memory of Sam Harvey.
Well done you guys, along with Allan Booth, Cat Binstead, Stuart Humphris and Truus van der Wurff. Terrific stuff, and many thanks to everyone for all your support and generous donations. The Just Giving meter is still ticking mind and with just £1,060.00 to go surely we get them over the line to the magic £10,000 target?
